Opalux Dual Reflective Window Films look much like Opalux Solar Reflective Window Films from the outside of the building. They are mirrored, and give you all the benefits of a mirrored film. It's from the inside that they look and feel different.
The inside-facing surface has a dark grey tint which reduces the back-shine mirror effect which would otherwise become apparent after dark when your lights are on.
This added feature replaces the reverse silver-mirror effect with an aesthetically more decor-friendly interior aspect.
This can also give you the night vision effect in twilight hours which enables you to see out for aesthetic or security purposes by countering the mirror-effect that would otherwise apply. A good example of dual reflective films for security purposes is for use in a security gatehouse. However to achieve this effect the interior lighting may well have to be dimmed down.
As well as reducing the backshine mirror after dark, these films also enhance the external privacy mirror effect in daylight hours.
Dual reflective films represent an added sophistication which does not compromise, but enhances, the performance of the product for heat and glare control, but also gives you the benefits described above.
If you need this extra sophistication, but still need the maximum solar heat rejection that a solar reflective film gives you, then a dual reflective film is the one for you.
Depending on the particular circumstances of your workplace, the film can be either applied to the inside face of the glass, or to the outside face using a special weather-protected version.
Accurate selection of film requires specialist knowledge and end-users and specifiers are encouraged to consult Opalux technical department.
Where appropriate you will be connected to an Opalux approved dealer who can discuss your requirements, visit site if necessary, and provide costings for the film installation.
