Attachment Systems for Safety & Security Films

Their objective is to tie in the whole (shattered) panel of glass to the building or it’s window frames, so as to help prevent the whole panel being blown across the interior space in the event of an explosion. 

Security film plus an attachment system is also a deterrent to intruders breaking in, rioting or smash-&-grab raid, again by reducing the threat of the whole panel of glass giving way under attack.

Attachment systems may also be specified in situations where glazing systems have proved to be at risk from spontaneous implosion due to flaws in the glass manufacturing process such as nickel sulphide poisoning.  An installation of safety film with an attachment system is the cost effective solution for overhead and vertical glazing rather than the wholesale replacement of the glass at risk.
